I finished this lovely project a couple of weeks ago but it has taken me a while to get around to taking suitable pictures. It’s now up on Etsy – I’m slowly but surely building up some of my stock!
I really enjoyed making this quilt because it has a different feel to my other designs – it is modern, bold, contemporary using strong saturated colours which are new to me but I’m quite taken with the overall effect. I generally don’t like dark colours but the bitter chocolate contrasts nicely with the bright blue, I think.
It was also a really fun project because I used the ‘quilt as you go’ method which was also relatively new to me!
This is definitely a design I would replicate – perhaps making a larger size quilt? So many opportunities to play with colour combinations, too.
